Hey @neilhimself. Do you have an recommendations on the best place to buy DRM free ebooks? I don’t love being locked into the Kindle ecosystem.

If not, would you mind boosting for reach? I imagine you have a fairly book savvy audience!

How is it legal for massive companies to be making sweeping layoffs and announcing stock buy backs at the same time?

Do I know anyone from #GitHub who could put me in touch with the right person to help setup up codespace? It’s multi repo with a few moving parts. We’d like to move off Gitpod but have a bad time.

When I grow up I think I’d like to work for Shopify or Cloudflare. They consistently crank out interesting open source work that makes a difference.

I just finished reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It’s such a fun story told in a way that regularly had me laughing out loud!

Which book if any has had the biggest impact on your life and why?

For me I think it was the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris. It's not the best book but it definitely changed how I see the world.

I'm excited to see the advances in distributed database technology and services this year. The benefits of running code at the edge are numerous, but if you keep your data in a single location, you miss out on them. In fact, using edge compute with a single data source can even result in a worse experience than using a single server near your database. #databases #tech

I bought a kindle a few months ago and it has become one of my all time favourite possessions. I’ve gone from reading around 1 or 2 books per year to 2 or 3 each month.
